Conveyor Belt Fabricator

Belt Shop Fabricator - Belt Technician Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and repair conveyor belts
- Inspect completed fabricated belts for order accuracy to meet industry specifications
- Install and vulcanize lightweight and heavyweight conveyor belting
- Maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition
- Work in a manner that ensures the safety of everyone involved. Exercise proper care in the use of tools and equipment
- Detect and report defective equipment, material and any improper operations or unusual conditions
- Observe all safety rules and regulations; maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition
- Required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
- Other duties as assigned
Qualification:
- Measure and cut material – Must be able to MEASURE ACCURATELY, both imperial and metric
- Basic Math skills - add, subtract, multiply, and divide in units of linear measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals with a calculator
- Strong mechanical background a plus
- Required to read and write in English
- Material handling with forklift, pallet jack and hand truck.
- High attention to detail
Compensation:
- Starting wage negotiable based on experience. Experienced Belting Fabricator will be considered for additional compensation.
- Performance based wage increases.
- Benefits include: medical, 401k, profit sharing, paid vacation/holidays and bonus programs.
Compensation: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
